The Consumer Products Safety Commission just announced the recall of certain children’s bed railings that could break, causing a fall injury to a child in the bed.

The recall involves bed rail products manufactured in China and Vietnam, and imported by Lea Industries, are sold under the names of Lea Panel, Loft & Bunk Bed Rails. They are marketed through Direct Buy Stores, other retail furniture outlets and online via Amazon.com.

There have been 22 reported incidents of the rails breaking, some resulting in injuries. A 6-year old girl in Wisconsin suffered a head injury when the bunk bed above her equipped with a Lea mattress support rail failed and fell on her.

Consumers who own the affected bed rails are instructed to contact the company directly at 888-770-7116. There are too many model numbers of rails to list here, so for a full listing please click here.
